Robert Sim

Robert Sim began is career in accountancy back in 1992, in Aberdeen, where he worked for a sole practitioner for around 4 years. After obtaining an HND in accountancy he moved to a medium sized accountancy practice based in the East of Scotland which had offices in Inverurie, Forfar, Dundee and Perth. During his 6 years at this practice Robert completed is ACCA training and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2000. Robert worked within the Inverurie, Forfar and Dundee offices and during that time gained vast experience in the preparation of small sole trader, partnerships and limited company accounts and was involved in the audit of several medium size companies across a wide range of industries. Robert also assisted his clients with tax compliance and advising on tax planning strategies on a personal and company level.

Robert joined Murray Taylor in September 2004 and has continued developing his skills in tax, accounts and auditing. Robert now oversees 99% of the firm’s audit work which includes charities, clubs and associations, churches and medium sized companies. In addition he looks after a wide range of smaller clients, assisting them with their statutory obligations and advising on tax planning initiatives available to them.

Robert enjoys playing football on a regular basis, following Aberdeen Football Club and reading.
