Tom Murray was apprenticed to Henderson and Loggie, Chartered Accountants and qualified as a CA in 1976. He has a vast amount of years experience in accountancy.

After qualifying, he spent one year as a management accountant with Low and Bonar Packaging in Dundee before moving to Montrose as the Financial Accountant with J.M.Piggins/ Rix Petroleum. He was then approached to move to George Ogilvie (Montrose)Ltd , a firm of potato growers/merchants with interests in farming, refrigerated transport and hotels in Montrose and Jersey.

He went into practice on his own account in 1986 and met Steve Taylor in 1990 when Murray Taylor was formed. Tom specialises in growing the business with the introduction of new clients from as far north as Peterhead, down to Sheffield and across to the west coast.

Tom is married to Joan and has one son and three daughters. His interests include drama, theatre, golf and bridge. He is involved in the local cricket and rugby club and was the founder of the Angus Chapter of Business Network International of which he is still an enthusiastic member.
