Help for Heroes

Murray Taylor is delighted to confirm that we have chosen Help for Heroes as our charity of the year for 2019.

Help for Heroes supports British Armed Forces’ service personnel and veterans who were injured or became ill during service, or due to their service, and their loved ones.

The help is provided through grants direct to the Heroes and their families, grants to other charities and through four Help for Heroes Recovery Centres across the UK, the nearest of which to Scotland is Phoenix House in Catterick, North Yorkshire which offers access to a wide range of welfare, career, medical, sports and psychological support.

Last week Louise and I met with Rob Colgrave, the Charity’s Fundraising manager for Scotland, to brainstorm ways we at Murray Taylor can do our bit to raise funds to provide veterans with the much-needed support they deserve.

We plan to do this by raising awareness of Help for Heroes in our community through a variety of different events.

So please keep an eye out for our fundraising events as it is so important that we recognise those who are struggling and have given so much. It is now up to us to do our best to help support veterans in their recovery.
